The image which is pressed against one end of fiber optic inverter (FOI) is resolved to the correspondent pixels by millions of fibers, and the pixel information is transmitted to the other end of the FOT one by one through the total reflection of light. The pixels are enlarged or reduced with the fiber diameter and are imaged at the output end according to the original arrangement.

The Fiber Optic Plate is used as the base plate of the scintillation screen in the digital X-ray detector system. The scintillation screen transmits the visible light converted by X-ray to the detection chip, which has the characteristics of reducing noise, protecting the sensor and improving the contrast.
